All that comes in the box are daily strips of packets that have 4 pouches in them. One pouch for before breakfast, one pouch for before lunch, and 2 pouches to take with either breakfast or lunch. Honestly I was surprised there wasn't anything to go with dinner because that's usually the meal that people eat the most for, right? Anyway, I got up in the morning at 6: The instructions are to take the pouch 30 mins before breakfast. I have no idea what supplements are in what pouch, but after the 30 mins, I defnitely felt like I needed to eat.
I got a slight headache, and that went away when I had my protein shake. I took the two packets with my protein shake Advocare says breakfast OR lunch, but suggests to take it with breakfast , threw the packet I'm supposed to take 30 mins before lunch into my bag, and headed out the door. I started to get hungry again around I realize that makes me sound like I have no control over my eating habits, which is not true.
I have never considered myself overweight, but if I can fix a headache with the simple task of eating some veggies instead of waiting 10 more minutes, then I'm going to do it. A very large part of this particular job is customer service, so some of the people I deal with already give me a headache anyway..
Honestly, by the time dinner time came around I was not hungry at all. I had a couple of multigrain wheat thins and a can of soup when I got home from my second job around 9pm, just because I figured it wasn't good to not eat anything, and I watched t. Overall I'd say Day 1 was pretty non-eventful, but I wasn't expecting anything from it. Posted by J at I probably drink an equivalent of a pot of coffee per day.
It's kind of insane now that I think about it. Apparently Advocare's best seller is their energy drink called Spark. Since I couldn't have coffee or soda during my cleanse, I thought I would try this.
I have one in the morning, and one in the afternoon, and I am good to go. I have never found something that works so well. I tried their Slam option, which comes in a little bottle like the energy shots, and I didn't like it at all. What I liked about the cleanse is that it's a "no squat" cleanse. Which literally means that you will not have the reaction of running to the toilet all day long while you are on it.
This was true for me, and I took the Citrus cleanse, which is for people who do not take a lot of medication and are free of stomach problems. This was annoying, but I got a big jar of raw, unsalted, un-flavorized nuts and munched on those all day long. That helped, and the feeling that I was eating nuts instead of candy or something else unhealthy actually kind of helped.
Being hungry also meant that the cleanse was working. Which was also a good feeling. The disappointing part of my cleanse was that I did not lose any weight.
I weighed myself at Day 10, and I was at Half a pound under what I started with which I count as nothing.
